[1st Round of Call for Papers]
The 2022 International Conference on Marine Equipment & Technology and Sustainable Development will be held in Beijing, China in December 2022. The Conference is co-hosted by Mechanical and Vehicle Engineering Division of Chinese Academy of Engineering, Science and Technology Committee of China State Shipbuilding Corporation Limited, and jointly organized by Systems Engineering Institute of China State Shipbuilding Corporation Limited, China Ship Research and Development Academy, Pilot National Laboratory for Marine Science and Technology (Qingdao), and Harbin Engineering University.
The event includes an opening ceremony, the main forum, parallel forums, and symposiums, and it will be organized in dual mode (online and offline). The Conference will bring together Chinese and international academicians, experts, and scholars to launch extensive and in-depth exchanges and discussions on Marine Machinery and Vehicles, Marine Ecology, Environment and Protection, Marine Safety, Future Ships and Marine Equipment, Marine Engineering, Marine Information and Technology, Maritime Policy and Global Governance, and other related topics. The Conference will exert a positive and far-reaching impact on marine equipment technology, sustainable maritime development, and global marine governance.

3 Paper Submission Instructions
3.1 Requirements on Submission
3.1.1 The submitted papers should be the latest unpublished research outcomes, which show high values of academic research and can be applied and promoted. Papers should be consistent with the theme and directions of this forum, with novel topics, clear and sufficient arguments, and concise writing.
3.1.2 The Conference only accepts papers written in English. Please download the template before submitting the manuscript. The paper should be typeset in strict accordance with the requirements of the template.
3.1.3 The Conference will follow strict review procedures and adhere to the principle of “putting quality before quantity”. The Conference does not condone any forms of academic misconduct, such as plagiarism, inaccurate data, or multiple submissions for one manuscript.
3.1.4 The corresponding author should be responsible for the authenticity of the content of the paper, the reliability of the data and the credibility of the conclusions. The corresponding author should ensure that the paper is in compliance with legal, academic, and ethical norms.
3.1.5. For the convenience of contact, the submission should comprise the names and emails of all authors. Please attach the corresponding author’s information at the end of the paper, including name, gender, title, office phone number, mobile phone number, email, organization, mailing address and specific research directions.
3.1.6 Authors must ensure that they own legal copyright. The authorship of the paper must obtain the consent of the collaborators to ensure that the authorship of the paper is not disputed. If there is any dispute over the authorship, all the responsibilities shall be borne by the authors.
3.1.7 The submitted papers shall not contain any state confidential information or violate relevant state confidentiality regulations. If a paper is produced based on a secret-related scientific research project, its authors should obtain an approval from the organizations where they work and be authorized to publish the content in the papers. Once the submitted papers lead to any leakage of confidential information, all responsibilities shall be borne by the authors.
3.1.8 The format of submitted papers should comply with the template set by the Conference (Attachment 2). The paper should be written with a minimum length limit of 4 pages.
3.2 Submission Deadline
The due date of the first round of manuscript submission will be Saturday, October 15, 2022 (11:59 p.m. Beijing time). Please submit the full paper before the submission deadline.
3.3 Submission Method

3.4 Review and Acceptance
To ensure the quality of the conference papers, the review panel of the Organizing Committee will conduct a strict peer review of the manuscripts. Once your paper has been accepted, you will be notified by email before October 30, 2022. Please log in the Online Submission System on the conference website to check review feedback, download Invitation Letter, submit the final manuscript and make sure your paper registered. Instructions on registration can be found on the conference website.
3.5 Registration & Payment
The accepted papers will be charged a publication fee of 2,000 CNY. If the first author is a student, 1,500 CNY will be charged. The payment methods will be notified afterwards.
3.6 Publication and Retrieval
Accepted full papers will be collected in the Conference Proceedings which will be indexed by EI. The review panel will recommend outstanding papers among the accepted papers to Journal of Marine Science and Application (a journal supported by China’s Science and Technology Journal Excellence Action Plan, ESCI), Journal of Harbin Engineering University (EI index), Journal of Acoustics (EI index) and other journals.
